Dean Harrison secures second place in Isle of Man TT races Supersport race two.

Race Report
Dean’s standing start pace away from the line was under lap record time. Conditions had dried out all the way to Ramsey following a torrid few days with the weather and Dean made the most of it. By Ramsay, Harrison and the Honda CBR600RR were 2.6 seconds in front of the rest of the field. In the closing stages of lap one, Dean took the lead on the timing sheets and on the road and despite dropping just outside lap record pace, Harrison looked comfortable despite recording a blistering standing start 129.218mph lap.

Losing time in the pits to Michael Dunlop, Dean gave up the lead. The 955cc V-twin machine boomed away into a seemingly unassailable lead. Dean Harrison rode exceptionally well, giving absolutely nothing away and drawing the adoration of thousands of fans that lined the circuit to cheer him and the CBR600RR on.

Including the pitstop for fuel, Dean’s lap two speed was 123.611mph. Lap three was a lonely ride for Harrison, hitting all his markers and managing the gap to third perfectly.

Across the line in second position, Dean Harrison claimed his second supersport podium of the 2026 Isle of Man TT races, 26.126 seconds behind Dunlop and the 955cc Ducati. That 129.218mph opening lap of Dean’s proved to be the fastest ever standing start lap in the class.

Dean Harrison

The bike ran faultlessly and I’m as happy as I can be with second place. I got a great tow along the Sulby straight and went through the trap at 174.8mph on lap one. I spent laps two and three on my own and did what I could. Like I said, the bike ran absolutely perfectly, the team have worked so hard to give me the best version of the CBR600RR I can have. I hope I can repay them with one better in The Senior later on.

The boys put a great bike under Dean today and they should be proud of the work they've done. We couldn’t ask for more from him, his first lap pace was excellent and he looked within himself everywhere. I couldn't ask for anymore from Dean or the CBR600RR.
