Honda Racing UK thanks Jason O’Halloran as team bids a fond farewell
Jason’s return to the team in 2026 reunited Honda Racing UK with a familiar face, renewing a partnership that has delivered memorable moments for the team and its supporters over the years.
Throughout the season, Jason has applied his experience and determination to developing the Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP. Working closely with his crew, his detailed feedback and commitment to testing and development have helped the team deepen its understanding of the motorcycle and progress its performance in the championship.
The season finale at Brands Hatch provided a reminder of his ability in demanding conditions. Jason topped the opening free practice session, setting a time of 1:36.050 to finish almost a quarter of a second clear of his nearest challenger. He then brought his campaign to a close with seventh in the rain-soaked final race, ending the year 12th in the championship with 178 points.
His contribution to Honda extends well beyond this season. A National Superstock 1000 victory at the 2014 Brands Hatch finale preceded his move into the team’s British Superbike line-up in 2015. His first British Superbike victory followed with Honda in 2016, alongside consecutive fifth-place championship finishes in 2016 and 2017. Further podium finishes in 2018 added to a successful and fondly remembered chapter aboard the Fireblade.
Across both spells with the team, Jason’s approachable nature, work ethic and commitment to the people around him have made him a valued presence in the Honda garage.
Honda Racing UK thanks Jason for everything he has contributed, in particular for his determination on track. He leaves with the affection and respect of the team, and its warmest wishes for every success in the next chapter of his career.

It wasn’t an easy start to the season for Jason, he worked incredibly hard, showing real determination and world class professionalism in helping the team to move the bike forward in terms of reliable performance. It was rewarding to see progress for both riders, particularly in free practice and qualifying sessions where Jason topped timesheets on a regular basis.
