Iconic HM Plant inspired livery for Honda Racing UK at Cadwell Park this weekend
The Lincolnshire circuit marks Honda Racing UK's home round, with the team's headquarters based just a few miles away in nearby Louth. Every year Cadwell Park provides a unique opportunity for the team to race in front of its local supporters, family and friends. For round eight of the 2026 Zyn British Superbike Championships, the occasion will be celebrated with a special tribute to one of the most successful chapters in the team's history.
The unmistakable HM Plant colours carried Honda to three British Superbike Championship titles with Ryuichi Kiyonari in 2006, 2007 and 2010, becoming one of BSB's most recognisable liveries and helping establish Honda Racing UK as one of the championship's most successful teams.
Now, almost two decades later and as part of the 30th Anniversary celebrations of the British Superbike Championships, those famous colours return to the circuit on the team's Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP machines as Ryan Vickers and Jason O'Halloran continue Honda Racing UK's fight in the 2026 ZYN British Superbike Championship.
Fresh from a breakthrough weekend at Thruxton, Vickers arrives at Cadwell Park after claiming Honda Racing UK's first victories of the 2026 campaign with a sensational Sunday double, having also secured the team's first podium of the season in Saturday's opening race. The Norfolk rider's pace, racecraft and confidence have injected fresh momentum into the championship challenge heading into the team's biggest weekend of the year.
Alongside him, O'Halloran also demonstrated encouraging progress throughout the previous round. As the team continues refining the Honda package, both riders have taken significant steps forward in recent rounds, providing real optimism that the hard work being invested behind the scenes is beginning to deliver consistent results on track.
The celebrations extend beyond the current championship machinery.
Honda Racing UK's British Supersport rider and road racing supremo, Dean Harrison, will also take to the Cadwell Park circuit across the weekend aboard a 2007-specification HM Plant Honda Superbike, completing a number of parade laps and giving fans the chance to once again experience one of the most iconic motorcycles in modern British Superbike history.
Cadwell Park has always held a special place in Honda Racing UK's story, and the atmosphere created by thousands of Honda supporters around the Lincolnshire circuit provides an extra lift for every member of the team.
To mark the occasion, Honda Racing UK has also produced a limited-edition HM Plant tribute team shirt, available exclusively during the Cadwell Park weekend while stocks last.

I watched the HM Plant Hondas winning many BSB races with guys like Kiyo' and with John McGuinness on the roads. They were the reference for years, when I was racing back in Australia it was HM Plant Honda that I dreamed about racing for. In 2011 I joined Honda Racing UK on a HM Plant liveried Superstock Fireblade, it was this ride that laid the foundations for me to build a career racing in the UK. To get the chance to line up in those iconic colours again this weekend will be special.

The HM Plant livery is iconic for me. It has so much history in Honda’s BSB racing story. It’s not just Kiyo that I think of, there’s so many riders and wins from that era that spring to mind. For me it represents a really successful period for the team and to get the chance to celebrate those colours at one of my favourite circuits, coming off the back of two wins is really cool. I really like what the team have done in terms of the effort to get this done for race fans as well. I hope I can honour the successes of the past with something from this weekend for fans to remember!

The HM Plant colours represent an incredible period in our history and are remembered fondly by Honda fans across the country. Coming to Cadwell Park is always a hugely important weekend for everyone at Honda Racing UK. It's our home event and racing in front of our local supporters always gives the whole team an extra boost. After Ryan's fantastic double victory at Thruxton and the progress Jason has shown gives everyone confidence for a good round.
